Marian, logo design is not one of my specialties. Would you like me to refer you to someone who does it?
Hi Dennis,
I am the president of a new non profit organization based in Africa. Could you help us or recommend international donors for us please. The organization’s objectives is educating HIV affected youth. Thank you.
Chuck, when I say “donors,” I usually mean individuals who get to know your organization, like what it does, and trust you to use their money wisely. Building your individual donor list takes time, but it’s worth it. It’s a solid base on which to rest your work.
From your comment, it sounds like you are looking for what I usually call “funders”: institutions that support nonprofit organizations by making grants (and sometimes providing training and technical assistance, too). Grants can be very important when an organization is getting started. Your best bet is to subscribe to a grant directory like the Foundation Center Online (https://subscribe.foundationcenter.org/fdo) for a short period and search it intensively for funders whose criteria match what you do. In other words, they have to be interested in education, HIV, youth, and Africa. If they are interested in the first three but they only make grants in California, don’t bother applying! Hope this is helpful. Dennis
